The sixth annual session of the G. M. B. W. E. Con¬
vention met with the Spangle Banner Baptist church,
Shaw, Miss., July 11, 1895, The president Mrs. A. E.
Williams called the house to order, and after devotional
exercises delivered her annual message to the oonvention.
This session was characterized by several interesting
and instructive essays, addresses and sermons. Miss Ella
Davis read an essay in lieu of the educational sermon
whicn was to be preached by Rev. G. P. Phillips, being

meaning, wholesome instructions and kind words for the

was 12. Delegates 20. Annual members 16. Amount col¬
lected from societies $14.25. From missionaries $4.15.
From free will offering $14.25. Annual members $8.00,
membership being changed from SI to 50 cents. Penny
collection $6.30. From corresponding secretary $2.40.
Total amount sollected at this meeting was $76.10. The
