As Harry Brooks is the sport of the class,
so is W. T. Candler its dude. The most dressy
of men, he was never seen in any other habili¬
ments than the "Very latest out." He has a
stout boot-lick on the world of females, espec¬
ially pretty ones, but rarely condescends to
honor them with more than the tribute of a
passing glance. Naturally, when these rare
events come off, the fair sex are joyous, and
Gov is wreathed in smiles for a week after one
of Walter's visits. The aforesaid gentleman
is gifted with a charming tenor voice, exhibited
with much effect in Chapel, together with a
pair of nose-squeezing eye-glasses. Walter
took astronomy last fall, and at the time adopted
Urania as his favorite Muse.
