word alone, taut he must be first tested in the general test work and
reported to the Lodge as having given satisfactory proof of his title
to admission. However, visiting brothers may be admitted on their
financial or traveling card, but in some way they must establish their
identity with the Order.

A United Brother of Friendship is to be a peaceable subject to the
civil power wherever he resides, and is neA'er to be concerned in

My Dear Brethren: All these charges you are to observe, and
also those which are to be communicated to you in any way. Culti¬
vating brotherly love, the foundation and glory of this Order, avoid¬
ing all wrangling and quarreling, all slanders and backbiting, or per¬
mitting others to slander any honest brother, tat defending his char¬
acter and doing him all the good you can as far as is consistent with
your honor and safety and no further; and if any of them do you
injury you must apply to your own or his Lodge.
