Lovett had the misfortune to be named after Madam's fiery steed, hut unlike that prehistoric
creature he is modern in every branch of Iris college work. He likewise plays a mean game of baseball,
and has so mixed work with pleasure that we feel sure that college life has meant more to him than four
years of incipient otiosity—if you know what that means!

Elizer comes back to us after having been absent since 1917. And it seems that he has indeed
learned quite a bit from the stern taskmaster we call life. He is afflicted with poetry—which is a terrible
handicap, according to our notion.
