During the stillness of the early morning hours
about January 25, 1891, in the little village of
Blaekshear, Ga., was born a little boy, who has
not yet developed into a normal man in statue,
although he has passed the legal law of manhood.
During his three years with us he has made many
friends. It is even said that he has made a "hit"
with some of the fair sex of the city. However, we
cannot vouch for this, as lie always appeared to
be too timid to be very popular with the ladies.
Though small in body, he is destined to some day
be a great man, as it was left chiefly to the faculty
of the Southern Dental College to cut, carve, build
and polish the foundation of his professional ca¬
reer, which they have done most successfully.

M. B. Crews
Dear reader, this Georgia specimen, as you will
observe, is a high-minded fellow. Of course, we
mean by this, according to statue. M. B. has on
innumerable occasions displayed his ability as a
crackaloo player by relieving a number of the
boys of some of their "gits" when they were en¬
gaged in this college sport. Please do not think
that because he has a weakness for this sport that
he is not a good student, because Crews has held
his own as well as any during the past three years.
M. B. was found at the key in a small telegraph
office in South Georgia, and was immediately
brought to Atlanta to study dentistry, and we pre¬
dict as much success for him in the future as he
seems to have had as a telegraph operator.
