The Solemn Ycnv. C. M.
I Witness, ye men and angels now,
Before the Lord we speak;
To him we make our solemn vow,
A vow we dare not break:
.2 That long as life itself shall last,
Ourselves to Christ we yield;
Nor from his cause will we depart,
Or ever quit the field.
3 We trust not in our native strength,
But on his grace rely,
That, with returning wants, the Lord
Will all our need supply.
4 Lord, guide our doubtful feet aright,
And keep us in thy ways;
And, while we turn our vows to prayers,
Turn thou, our prayers to praise.
Benjamin Beddome.

Psalm cxvi. 13.
I What shall I rentier to my God
For all his mercy's store?
I'll take the gifts he hath bestowed,
Anil humbly ask for more.
2 Mv vows I will to his great name
Before his people pay,
And all I have, and all I am,
Upon his altar lay.
3 Thy lawful servant, Lord, I owe
To thee whate'er is mine,
Born in thy family below,
And by redemption thine.
4 The God of all-redeeming grace
My God I will proclaim,
Offer the sacrifice of praise,
And call upon his name.
5 Praise him, ye saints, the God of love,
Who hath my sins forgiven,
Till, gathered to the Church above,
We sing the songs of heaven.
Samuel Wesley.

Accept my Heart.
C. M.
I My God, accept my heart this day,
And make it always thine;
That I from thee no more may stray,
No more from thee decline.
2 Before the cross of him who died,
Behold, I prostrate fall;
Let every sin be crucified,
Let Christ be all in all.
3 Let every thought, and work, and word,
To thee be ever given ;
Then life shall be thy service, Lord
And death the gate of heaven!
\ Matthew Bridges.
